FDZ

A space that isn't a brand, isn't a persona — just a corner where the thinking happens without the weight of a professional identity.

WHAT THIS IS

FDZ is the part of the mind that doesn't clock in or out. It exists between the commits, between the meetings, in the ten minutes after a flight lands and before the notifications start again.

It's where the unanswered questions live — the ones that feel too impractical to raise in a Jira ticket and too alive to leave in a notes app. Where philosophy mingles with code, where the mechanics of drone flight and the behaviour of language models end up in the same sentence, because they probably should.

The name carries its own meaning. It doesn't need explanation to those who already know, and for everyone else, the passphrase was enough to get here.

Not everything worth thinking is worth publishing. But some of it is worth keeping.

WRITINGS

FRAGMENTS

"The question is not whether machines can think. The question is whether we are thinking clearly enough to know what that means."

— recurring thought, undated

"Autonomy without identity is just a loop. Identity without autonomy is just a label. The interesting problem is the intersection."

— somewhere between A2A and IAM

"Every system that acts must also account for what it cannot act on. The boundary of agency is as important as its reach."

— on autonomous systems, 2024
